PlayerIQ ("we", "us") is operated by Muhammad Shakeel. This policy explains what data we collect through the PlayerIQ app and website, why, and what rights you have over it. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Who uses PlayerIQ
PlayerIQ is used by three types of accounts within a youth football camp: directors (who run camps), coaches (who assess players), and parents/guardians (who view their child's progress). Players themselves do not create accounts or use the app directly.
What we collect
Account data
Name, email address, and password for coaches, directors, and parents. Your password is stored as an irreversible hash, never in plain text. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and a unique identifier from that provider. We never see or store your Google or Apple password.
Login activity
We log sign-in attempts (timestamp, the email used, and whether it succeeded) for account security purposes, such as detecting unauthorized access attempts.
Player data
A player's name, date of birth, and assessment scores. Scores cover 16 attributes across four categories: Technical, Tactical, Physical, and Psychological. A coach or director enters this data on the player's behalf. Players never create their own accounts.
Voice recordings
When a coach records a voice assessment, the audio is sent to our AI providers (see below) to be transcribed and scored, then discarded. We do not retain the original audio recording.
Roster data from TeamSnap
If a director connects TeamSnap, we import player names, dates of birth, parent contact emails, and coach names/emails from the team roster the director selects.
How we use it
- To let a coach record and score a player's development over a season.
- To show a parent their child's progress report.
- To show a director completion rates and player trends across their camp.
- To authenticate accounts (including via Google/Apple Sign-In).
We do not use player or account data for advertising, and we do not sell data to any third party.
Who we share data with
We use the following service providers to operate PlayerIQ. Each only receives the minimum data needed to perform its function:
- Groq: transcribes voice assessment audio to text.
- Anthropic: converts a transcribed assessment into structured scores.
- Google / Apple: verifies your identity if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple.
- TeamSnap: provides roster data if a director chooses to connect their TeamSnap team.
- Fly.io and Neon: host our application and database infrastructure.
Children's data (COPPA)
PlayerIQ is used by youth football camps, and player records may relate to children under 13. A coach or camp director enters all player data on behalf of a registered camp participant. Children never create accounts, log in, or provide any information to us directly. A parent or guardian must claim their child's profile, by signing up with a matching email, to view that child's data. The camp obtains consent for a child's participation and data collection at the time of registration, outside of the app.
A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting [email protected].
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Data retention
We keep account and assessment data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service to your camp. Voice recordings are not retained after transcription. Login activity logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
